Youth Peer Support
A Certified Youth Peer Supporter (CYPS) is an individual between the ages of 18-30 who self-identifies as having lived experience with the behavioral health care system and other child or youth serving systems. Certified CYPS' support other youth and young adults in their resiliency, recovery, and wellness who have personally experienced the challenges of coping with trauma, mental health, or substance use disorders prior to their twenty-first birthday.
